Honestly, I was skeptical about whether or not customers would embrace this 'for-fee' structure as they have always sort of expected us to charge their phones just as a courtesy. However, after we got setup, customers seem to love it. A couple of people have grumbled about it, but I explained we had a couple instances of damaged phones and we started looking for better ways to do it, and they seemed to completely agree (my offer for a free drink probably helped). It has really freed up my bar staff's time and they seem to love it even more than the customers!

I have been pleasantly surprised at the customer response we have received. I have seen a noticeable uptick in traffic and people coming in specifically looking for the charger station. The station itself takes up very little space and I see traffic around it on a consistent basis. We have also noticed that when people are charging up, they stay longer and, while we sort of expected that to happen, it has resulted in a noticeable increase in revenue. The revenue from the actual station is just an added bonus, it has been totally worth it even without that extra incentive.
